Summary Teaching

We continue literacy development by reading, gaming (pointing, naming and handling objects), art, and by using alternative words to expand our student's vocabulary

We focus on expanding math and color coordination skills, like pattering and counting, by doing daily activities which involve singing, clapping and movement. We also continue to build memory, social and focus skills by learning each other's names and putting toys away.

We also start to do science experiments and learn early math concepts. This helps them build their critical thinking skills, memory, and focus. They stay healthy by playing outdoors, hopping and dancing inside, and learning about bible history!

Friends are Friendly!

In this stage we highlight social skills!  We teach our students how to talk about feelings, show them how to resolve conflicts, and support them as they make friends. We also teach the importance of Honor and Respect and the 9 Fruits of the Spirit.

Reading!

We get our students ready for kindergarten by reading lots of books, identifying rhyming words, and writing. Activities such as singing songs and playing games helps them notice similar sounding words.

Show and Tell!

Our students will develop confidence by learning to express their creatively by having the opportunity to share their art/music projects with the class. We give them the tools they need to create and then watch them explore. And teachers are always nearby with words of encouragement!
